Lamond Daniels opened the evening with heartfelt words: “Tonight is about celebration but also reflecting and looking ahead.” The event’s theme, Mission: Driven, served as more than a slogan it was a powerful reminder that Alliance’s work is not about titles, buildings, or reports. Our work is about the people, families seeking stability, young minds being nurtured and prepared, and the neighbors who deserve dignity and respect every time they step into the Alliance building.

The evening was filled with powerful moments that honored the Alliance community. Rev. Nancy Kingwood gave a touching prayer for the students and the Alliance family. A special video presentation highlighted the impact of Alliance. Dr. Ferguson delivered an inspiring message to students and parents, emphasizing the importance of giving back to the community not just for today, but for future students and families who will need support.

Dr. Royce Avery, the interim superintendent for Bridgeport Public Schools, joined in the celebration, which also featured the awarding of college scholarships to 25 outstanding students. The night also included a moving Community Service Award presentation, where five awardees shared emotional speeches expressing their gratitude and pride in being part of the Alliance mission, and their dedication to serving others.

Dr. Ferguson closed the night with powerful remarks encouraging students to embrace their journey, listen to their loved ones, and always follow their dreams. The celebration also marked a special milestone for Pastor Patrick Hayes, who commemorated the 60th anniversary of his church.
